Reason for getting into Physical Therapy:

Growing up, I was always very active and enjoyed participating in sports. Competitive cheerleading was my first love and longest sport, and realizing the injuries that some of my teammates were being hindered by, I grew up thinking “I want to be able to help my teammates perform their best.” Moving on to running track, playing tennis, and weight training on my free time, I knew I had a love for leading an active lifestyle and wanted to not only coach others, but help those at even more highly involved levels of injury. This is where my interest and passion for the field of physical therapy began.

Share a memorable moment about a patient:

Having a patient finish his plan of care after having met all goals, and come back into the clinic a week later to personally thank me. He told me how happy he was that he could perform all of his routine daily activities and beyond. When starting PT, he told me that being able to run again would be a dream because of his arthritic knee pain and a nagging calf strain. We decided together to make running a goal, and were able to achieve it. Seeing my patients achieve their baseline goals and even surpass them makes me proud to do what I do.

Interesting hobbies outside of work:

PI enjoy running outdoors, exploring new hiking trails, exploring new cuisines, and most importantly, spending time with my family. I also love to slackline and practice yoga, and hope to do them both more often!
